Kinda tough to get into. Old campground. Needs to be updated badly. Too many "stored" RV's on site. Not all sites have 30amp service. Beautiful riverside sites though. Kinda cramped together. Quiet for sure, and LOTS of water pressure in the showers and plenty HOT too! Would stay again as this is the best in Pagosa except for a pricey class A only campground there.
Easy access: right by an interstate exit and a couple truck stops. The downside: noise from the interstate and nearby US Air Force base. Not too bad, but it's there all the same.
Crowded, but quiet at night. Restrooms/Showers outdated but clean. Short walk to downtown and all attractions. Beautiful area to visit. Lots to see. 41 miles from Canada.
WAY too many seasonal campers. Showers were dirty and didn't have any hot water. Quiet though and off the beaten path. Seems like a nice little town just across the bay from Ashland, WI. Artesian well was a bonus. Makes excellent iced tea water.
Each spot needs picnic table, many had none. Restrooms/Showers were not clean and there were broken fixtures. Womens restroom had no toilet paper for more than 24 hrs. Weren't advised internet was extra. Several FEMA trailers still and ALOT of pipeline workers and families. Access to the park is not very good. New owners just bought it, so maybe it will get better.
Access really a mess right now because of construction. When it's done though, it should be a breeze. Some noise issues but livable. Full hookups at all sites, except the tent area, of course. The hosts were very friendly.
Very easy access, highway noise excessive, access to river is not maintained, satellite internet can be slow & too expensive, frisbee golf course overrun with grass, very low water pressure and no sewers, just a dump station. Much too expensive for the services provided, should be about $10.00 cheaper.
The staff we dealt with in person were inept. On phone the person we dealt with was very helpful, not the same as in person. We were put in tent site because campground was full. They are in back of grounds so it was quiet, but LONG walk to showers. Not very good access for big rigs and it's congested inside campground maneuvering the larger rigs, especially 5th wheels. We'd stay again but only if we made prior reservations.
